Relay for Life
Hello everyone,

The grill package raffle was a big success. All 250 tickets were sold! John Haydu was the lucky winner! Congratulations John, and thank you to all who bought and sold tickets!
The Relay event is right around the corner! It starts Friday, July 8 at 10 am and wraps up Saturday, July 9th at 10 am at Windber Rec Park. There is a concession stand with great food from noon until 6 pm at the ballroom. The signup sheet to walk is on the bulletin board in the Social Quarters. Luminaria bags and forms are available in the Social Quarters. This year the ACS has added a green bag. This is specifically for caregivers. The white bags are in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Make sure if you take a green bag that it is for a caregiver. They are $5 again this year. Those sales go to our team goal. We have currently raised $8,089.07. We are well on our way to another good year!
This is the last year for Carol and me as the Moose team captains. It’s a very rewarding job. We have a strong team and support of the lodge. If anyone is interested, they can talk to us to get details of what needs done as a captain. We have enjoyed the last several years running the team but, it’s time for someone else to take over. The Moose is a very successful team so we would like to see that continue. We will still be involved and help, but it’s time we took a break.
See you July 8th!

God Bless,
Susan Shaffer
Co-captain, Windber Moose Relay for Life team
